In this paper, a model of analogy-based learning is presented, whose main novelty is the crucial ability to produce analogies in multi-dimensional input and output spaces. Evaluations are performed on various word pronunciation tasks, revealing the effectiveness of such joint learning strategies.

In a range of contexts, one comes across processes resembling inference, but where input propositions are not in general included among outputs, and the operation is not in any way reversible. Examples arise in contexts of conditional obligations, goals, ideals, preferences, actions, and beliefs. Our purpose is to develop a general theory of propositional input/output operations. Particular att...

Large screens or projections in public and private settings have become part of our daily lives, as they enable the collaboration and presentation of information in many diverse ways. When discussing the shown information with other persons, we often point to a displayed object with our index finger or a laser pointer in order to talk about it. Although mobile phone-based interactions with remo...

Nowadays, designers of Virtual Reality (VR) applications are faced with the choice of a large number of different input and output devices leading to a growing number of interaction techniques. Usually VR interaction techniques are described informally, based on the actions users can perform within the VR environment. At implementation time, such informal descriptions (made at design time) yiel...

the stolt (f-k) migration algorithm is a direct (i.e. non-recursive) fourier-domain technique based on a change of variables (or equivalently, a mapping) that converts the input spectrum to the output spectrum. the algorithm is simple and efficient but limited to constant velocity. a v(z)(f-k) migration method, capable of very high accuracy for vertical variations of velocity, can be formulated...

In this work, the object of study is economy region. To describe it, a regular method for constructing difference input - output dynamic models proposed. This approach involves modeling not only sphere production, but also consumption. do this, vector phase variables includes gross domestic product. The variability model consists in ability to take into account various macroeconomic parameters ...
