With the fast development of networking, the demands made of computers are greater than ever before. Determining how to utilize the resources of networking to reach the objective of cooperative computing has remained an important topic in recent years. In addition, with the great advances in technology of the Internet, Peer-to-Peer (or P2P) computing has gradually become the mainstream of distr...
NAT-PT is one important technology for IPv4 to IPv6 transition by mapping protocols and addresses to enable communication between IPv4-only and IPv6-only networks. However, traditional NAT-PT gateways have limits in scalability, resilience and performance. This paper presents two approaches, NAT-based and DNS-based, for load-balance and fault-tolerance to address such limits. Our implementation...
We present load-balancing strategies to improve the performances of parallel MPI applications running in a Grid environment. We analyze the data distribution constraints found in two scientific codes and propose adapted code transformations to load-balance computations. Experimental results confirm that such source code transformations can improve Grid application performances.

In an infrastructure wireless LAN, the access point (AP) is responsible for connecting mobile stations (STA) and wired stations. Each access point is assigned on one channel. Traditionally, one station selects AP to connect is based on the received signal strength indicator (RSSI). This approach may cause all active mobile stations to connect to few APs and lots of contentions/collisions will o...
The objective of load balancing in peer-to-peer (P2P) networks is to balance the workload of peer nodes in proportion to their capacity so as to eliminate performance bottlenecks. It is challenging because of the dynamic nature in overlay networks, the time-varying load characteristics, and the inherent load imbalance caused by consistent hashing functions. It is known that simple randomized lo...
Fast load balancing is of the highest importance to utilize the resources effectively and improve the performance of the Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) enabled Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Load balancing splits a part of traffic called splitting ratio from the maximum loaded path in to minimum loaded path. One very strong constrain in balancing the load is the tradeoff between the de...
Vehicles participating in the mobile network may host different number of virtual servers and they are enable to balance their load in the reallocation of different vehicles. Most decentralized load blancing algorithms designed for adhoc networks based on their virtual servers requires the vehicle to be asymmetric, where as some serve as the rendezvous vehicle to pair virtual servers and partic...
Generic load balancing policies for irregular parallel applications may be efficiently implemented by integrating preemptive thread migration into the runtime support. In this context, a delicate issue is to manage pointer validity in a migration-safe way. In [1] we presented an iso-address approach to this problem. This paper discusses the impact of the iso-address migration scheme on the runt...
Energy consumption becomes a primary concern in a Wireless Sensor Network. In this paper, we study the tradeoff between energy saving and data gathering latency in mobile data gathering by exploring a local data aggregation and the moving length of the SensorCar .It has different layer frameworks for mobile data collection in wireless sensor networks, which includes the load balanced clustering...
