this study purported to compare and contrast the use of self-mention and evidentials as two mtadiscourse features in opinion columns of persian and english newspapers. the theoretical basis of this study is the idea that metadiscourse features vary across cultural boundaries. for this purpose, 150 persian and 150 english opinion columns were collected based on three factors of topic, audience a...
This study aimed to explore the effects of additive and non-additive genetic on prediction complex traits using Bayesian regularized artificial neural network (BRANN). The data sets were simulated for two hypothetical pedigrees with five different fractions total variance accounted by additive, x effects. A feed forward (ANN) regularization (BR) was used assess performance nonlinear ANNs compar...
the present experiment was carried out to assess the general combining ability (gca) and specific combining ability (sca) of six important commercial cultivars of gossypium hirsutum l. of venezuela, viz., ‘deltapine 16’, ‘tamcot-sp-21’, ‘cabuyare’, ‘stoneville’, ‘ospino’ and ‘acala 90-1’ and their 15 f1 hybrids, respectively. the data were analyzed using griffing’s model i method ii. significan...
The standard tool to estimate the phase of a sequence of phase-shifted interferograms is the Phase Shifting Algorithm (PSA). The performance of PSAs to a sequence of interferograms corrupted by non-white additive noise has not been reported before. In this paper we use the Frequency Transfer Function (FTF) of a PSA to generalize previous white additive noise analysis to non-white additive noisy...
Abstract We establish a sufficient condition for continuous map, acting on compact metric space, to have Baire residual set of points exhibiting historic behavior (also known as irregular points). This criterion applies, instance, minimal and non-uniquely ergodic map; maps preserving two distinct probability measures with full support; non-trivial homoclinic classes; some non-uniformly expandin...
Models of intermittent behaviour are usually formulated using a set of multiplicative random weights on a Cayley tree. However, inter-mittency in particle multiproduction from QCD jets is related to fragmentation of an additive quantum number, e.g. energy-momentum. We exhibit the non-trivial stochastic mapping between these additive and multiplicative cascading processes.
