In this paper, we study a Fokker-Planck equation of the form ut = I[u] + div(xu) where the operator I, which is usually the Laplacian, is replaced here with a general Lévy operator. We prove by the entropy production method the exponential decay in time of the solution to the only steady state of the associated stationnary equation.

We obtain an interesting kernel related to the nonlinear heat equation.

The existence of positive semidefinite solutions of the operator equation n ∑ j=1 AXA = Y is investigated by applying grand Furuta inequality. If there exists positive semidefinite solutions of the operator equation, one of the special types of Y is obtained, which extends the related result before. Finally, an example is given based on our result.
