Pentoxifylline-loaded poly(epsilon-caprolactone) microspheres were prepared by solvent evaporation technique with different drug to carrier ratio F1 (1:3), F2 (1:4), F3 (1:5) and F4 (1:6). The microspheres were characterized for particle size, scanning electron microscopy, FT-IR study, percentage yield, drug entrapment, stability studies and for in vitro release kinetics. The shape of microsphe...

We studied the use of cellulose nanocrystals (CNXs) obtained after acid hydrolysis of ramie cellulose fibers to reinforce poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) nanofibers. Chemical grafting with low-molecular-weight PCL diol onto the CNXs was carried out in an attempt to improve the interfacial adhesion with the fiber matrix. Grafting was confirmed via infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analyses....

The aim of this study was to prepare and evaluate poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) microspheres containing acetazolamide. Microspheres were prepared by solvent evaporation method. The influence of formulation factors (polymer: drug ratio, aqueous: oil phase ratio, concentration of aqueous phase, stirring speed and stirring time) on morphology, particle size, encapsulation and recovery efficiency were...
