A nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equation modelling the etching of glass by powder blasting is proposed. This equation is solved by means of the characteristic strip equations. The analytical solution is in reasonable agreement with measurements. AMS Subject Classification: 35F25, 35L60, 33C05.

This study aims to investigate the fracturing characteristics of double-hole blasting under action coupled static stress and delayed time explosion. A total thirteen explosive tests were carried out on rectangular concrete blocks with different constraints. The test wrapped in steel mesh bed prevent flying away cracked after blasting. After blasting, surface area crater was measured, all pieces...

This paper describes a new proof tool for deciding bit-vector problems in HOL4. The approach is based on “bit-blasting”, wherein word expressions are mapped into propositional formulas, which are then handed to a SAT solver. Significantly, the implementation uses the LCF approach, which means that the soundness of the tool is guaranteed by the soundness of HOL4’s logical kernel.

The long and large-diameter uncharged hole-boring (LLB) method is a cut-blasting used to reduce vibration induced by blasting. This typically involves creating an hole with 382 mm diameter drilling 50 m in the tunnel excavation direction at time. reported provide relatively good reduction high blasting efficiency through short compared traditional cut methods. In this study, advanced LLB incorp...

Blasting operations involve some undesirable environmental issues that may cause damage to equipment and surrounding areas. One of them, probably the most important one, is flyrock induced by blasting, where its accurate estimation before operation essential identify blasting zone’s safety zone. This study introduces several tree-based solutions for an prediction flyrock. has been done using fo...

It is shown that when modeling a single interaction of an abrasive particle with the surface part in process collision under air (liquid) pressure, it necessary to take into account specifics impact-abrasive wear, separation wear preceded by metal destruction. In schematization contact during blasting, some commonality shot blasting and number assumptions typical for grinding, micro cutting gra...

Seeking the law of through-crack in double hole shaped charge can help reveal rock failure mechanism directional controlled blasting. Using LS-DYNA numerical simulation analysis, dynamic mechanical behaviors double-hole crack development and penetration elliptical bipolar linear-shaped blasting ordinary were compared studied. The results showed that it was difficult to form a straight line thro...
