Traditional broadcast protocols fail to scale to large settings. Several recent attempts have proven efficient to ensure reliable information dissemination in groups composed of a large number of participants. This paper proposes a reliable multicast protocol that integrates two complementary approaches to deal with the large-scale dimension in group communication protocols: gossip-based probab...

In this paper we address the problem of introducing semantics into Deep Web. Our main contribution is an annotation-based model for semantic, unified access to heterogeneous Deep Web sources. We discuss the problem of source navigation and semantics modeling, introduce personalized views on the ontology and demonstrate their use for navigation and extraction of Deep Web data.

This paper presents a 15-item classification for MediaWiki Talk pages comments, associated with a new lightweight ontology that extends SIOC to represent these categories. We discuss how this ontology can enhance MediaWiki Talk pages, with RDFa, making content of such pages easier to parse and to understand.

This req...

SWAN/SIOC is an alignment of two Web ontologies that, taken together, represent Scientific Discourse in online communities at different levels of granularity (content items and discourse elements). The goal of this alignment is to make the discourse structure and component relationships much more accessible to computation, so that information can be navigated, compared and understood in a conte...
