Abstract. In this work, a neural networks is developed for modelling and controlling a chaotic system based on measured input-output data pairs. In the chaos modelling phase, a neural network is trained on the unknown system. Then, a predictive control mechanism has been implemented with the neural networks to reach the close neighborhood of the chosen unstable fixed point embedded in the chaot...

c-reactive protein (crp) response was studied in 44 patients with acute angina pectoris admitted to the coronary care unit. 71 % of patients with acute myocardial infarction (mi)had positive crp test while 73% of patients presumed to have unstable angina pectoris had negative crp test. this test can be helpful in differentiating between acute mi and unstable angina pectoris.

we consider the semilinear elliptic boundary value problem  = ∈∂ω− δ = ∈ωu x xu x f u x x( ) 0;( ) λ ( ( ));where λ > 0 is a parameter, ω is a bounded region in rn with a smooth boundary, and f is asmooth function. we prove, under some additional conditions, the existence of a positive solution for λlarge. we prove that our solution u for λ large is such that = →∞∈ω|| u ||: sup| u(x) |xas λ ...

introduction: unstable angina as a clinical condition includes a major group of patients manifested with acute coronary syndrome. misdiagnosis of this clinical syndrome causes myocardial infarction (mi) and death. conventional and advanced forms of treatment are used with the aim of rapid stabilization of unstable angina. although infusion of glucose - insulin - potassium (gik) solution has had...

—Recently there are emerging applications based on opportunistic mobile social networks, which are kinds of delay tolerant networks (DTNs) with social relations between the nodes. In such networking scenarios, messages are disseminated through intermittent connections in a store-carry-and-forward manner. A major advantage of the opportunistic mobile social networks includes enabling communicat...

This paper represents a comparative analysis of seventeen case studies from Central and Eastern Europe, selected from different published sources. The analysis of these business cases is used to highlight the typical strategic responses of firms to the unstable business environment in the region. It is argued in the paper that the transition to market economy is accompanied by multiple business...

this paper presents a simplified approach to estimate the resultant force, which should be provided by a retention system, for the equilibrium of unstable slopes. the results were obtained with a developed algorithm, based on limit equilibrium analyses, that assumes a two-part wedge failure mechanism. design charts to obtain equivalent earth pressure coefficients are presented. based on the res...

We review some examples of dynamics displaying sequential switching for systems of coupled phase oscillators. As an illustration we discuss a simple family of coupled phase oscillators for which one can find robust heteroclinic networks between unstable cluster states. For N = 2k + 1 oscillators we show that there can be open regions in parameter space where the heteroclinic networks have the s...

Synchronization transition in networks of nonlocally coupled chaotic oscillators is investigated. It is found that in reaching the state of global synchronization the networks can stay in various states of partial synchronization. The stability of the partial synchronization states is analyzed by the method of eigenvalue analysis, in which the important roles of the network topological symmetry...

A theory of time as the ’information’ created in the irreversible decay process of excited or unstable states is proposed. Using new tools such as Feynman Clocks (FCs) [1], [2], [3], Feynman Detectors (FDs), Collective Excitation Networks (CENs), Sequential Excitation Networks (SENs), Plateaus of Complexity (POCs), Causal Networks, and Quantum Computation Methods [4], [5], [6] previously separa...
