The Bussgang coefficient is calculated for a memoryless nonlinear system and the concept extended to a dynamic system modeled by a Volterra Series and for Gaussian Inputs. The theory obtained is then applied to a simple system and the underlying linear system obtained for different system configurations.

In this paper we propose a new analytic technique to assess the performance of radio over fibre based wireless networks employing OFDM signalling. With this technique, which is based on the Volterra series, the impact of optical system non-linearities on the error probability of OFDM signals can be evaluated.

We apply a 3 rd -order inverse Volterra series nonlinear equalizer to a 400 Gb/s WDM multiband PM-16QAM OFDM signal. IVSTF-NLE provides a 0.6 dB Q-factor improvement and 1 dB nonlinear threshold increase compared to linear equalization. This paper presents the nonlinear speech phoneme decomposition based on Volterra-Wiener functional series. It is shown the usage this nonlinear decomposition in speech recognition systems constructing. The fast algorithms for finding estimation of Wiener kernels in frequency domain permit to reduce essentially computing expenses for evaluation of signals decomposition.
