Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an emerging technology that shows great promise for various futuristic applications both for mass public and military. These small, low-cost, low-powers, multifunctional sensor nodes can communicate in short distances. There is currently enormous research potential in the field of wireless sensor network security. The major challenge for employing any efficient ...

Communication in mobile Ad hoc networks is completed via multi-hop ways. Owing to the distributed specification and restricted resource of nodes, MANET is a lot prone to wormhole attacks i.e. wormhole attacks place severe threats to each Ad hoc routing protocol and a few security enhancements. Thus, so as to discover wormholes, totally different techniques are in use. In all those techniques fi...

Wormhole is a publish-subscribe (pub-sub) system developed for use within Facebook’s geographically replicated datacenters. It is used to reliably replicate changes among several Facebook services including TAO, Graph Search and Memcache. This paper describes the design and implementation of Wormhole as well as the operational challenges of scaling the system to support the multiple data storag...

Wireless Mesh Networking is an emerging technology in order to provide a possibility to build a network that can grow in terms of coverage to offer service access (i.e. internet access) for a large number of people with different needs. Security has become the main concern to provide safe communication between different mesh nodes. The aim of this research is to study various security mechanism...

Multiprocessing (MP) on networks of workstations (NOW) is a high-performance computing architecture of growing importance. In traditional MP’s, wormhole routing interconnection networks use fixed-size flits and backpressure. In NOW’s, ATM −one of the major contending interconnection technologies− uses fixed-size cells, while backpressure can be added to it. We argue that ATM with backpressure h...

The rapid advancement of technology in genomics and targeted genetic manipulation has made comparative biology an increasingly prominent strategy to model human disease processes. Predicting orthology relationships between species is a vital component of comparative biology. Dozens of strategies for predicting orthologs have been developed using combinations of gene and protein sequence, phylog...

An interesting lightweight switching technique for local area and campus environments is wormhole routing, in which the head of a packet, upon arriving at an intermediate switch, is immediately forwarded to the next switch on the path. The current proposals and products of wormhole routing networks provide a connectionless and lossless transport of variable-size data units, aiming at minimal la...

We study the Lorentzian static traversable wormholes coupled to quadratic scalar fields. We also obtain the solutions of the scalar fields and matters in the wormhole background and find that the minimal size of the wormhole should be quantized under the appropriate boundary conditions for the positive nonminimal massive scalar field.

Analytical wormhole solutions in U4 theory are presented. It is also discussed whether the introduction of extremely short range repulsive forces, related to the spin angular momentum of matter, could be the “carrier” of exoticity that threads the wormhole throat.
