The significance of immunophenotyping is growing day by day. Itprovides basic information in regard to classification and prognosisof acute leukemia which helps the management of patients. Thisstudy was conducted to Identify CD markers in leukemic patientsadmitted to Tabriz, in northwestern Iran. Immunophenotyping of 60patients with acute leukemia was determined. Patients with acutemyelogenous ...
herein we describe a case of intraocular melanoma in a17-year old leukemic patient. the history, histological findings of the enucleated eye, blood and bone marrow of the patient were investigated. the enucleated eye contained epitheloid cell type melanoma instead of leukemic cell infiltration. we conclude that intraocular malignant melanoma can occur in acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
We have analyzed the configuration of the T cell receptor (TCR) a gene using newly developed genomic joining region (Ja) probes, which cover 80 kb of the Ja region upstream from the constant region in 19 patients with T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and in three CD3leukemic T cell lines (HSB2, CEM, and MOLT4). In parallel, trnscription of the TCR-a, ,B, and y genes was examined in 1...
abstract introduction connection of socioeconomic status measures (such as income and education and parental addiction) to childhood leukemia are likely to vary with place and time. the aim of this study was to assess the relation between socioeconomic status and childhood leukemia. materials and methods a case- control study conducted on 86 case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia age 0-14 years i...
Background and Objective: Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a malignant clonal disorder of hematopoietic stem cells which results in increase of myeloid and erythroid cells and platelets in the peripheral blood and hyperplasia in bone marrow. This research evaluated the cytotoxic effect of aqueous, methanolic and ethanolic extracts of M. spicata leaves on K562 cell line as a model of chronic my...
In 1970 Abelson and Rabstein (1) isolated a variant of Moloney leukemia virus from a nonthymic l y m p h o m a of a BALB/c mouse. Subsequent studies indicated that this virus, now termed Abelson murine leukemia virus (MuLV-A), 1 induces a malignant disease of primitive bone marrow-derived lymphocytes (2-5). Under certain conditions, M u L V A also induces tumors of highly differentiated B cells...
Abstract — Blood cell disorders are often detected in advanced stages as the number of cancer cells is much higher than normal blood cells. As one important aspects diagnosing leukemia and determining its progress identifying malignant This paper illustrates discovery four main types through machine learning algorithms, it was found that Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) has progressed rapidly ove...
Summary Leukemia and lymphoma are a leading cause of cancer-related mortality in children the prognosis for patients with relapsed or refractory disease remains poor. Standard therapies associated wide array acute long-term toxicities. Immunotherapy is changing treatment landscape pediatric leukemia has advanced at tremendous pace over last decade. Immunotherapies thought to exhibit fewer toxic...
Tiny non-coding RNAs called microRNAs (miRNAs) are crucial for cell survival and differentiation. Numerous cancer varieties, including acute myeloid leukemia, have been linked to abnormal miRNA expression (AML). Objective:
introduction: despite achievement to complete remission (cr) with current treatments and new multiple chemotherapeutic agents in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (all) patients, the majority of them still relapse during long-term follow-up. the use of post- remission therapy will reduce early relapse in these cases, but the best option is still debatable. patients and methods: in this retrospective...
