Everett’s concept of relative state is used to introduce a geometric phase that depends nontrivially on entanglement in a pure quantum state. We show that this phase can be measured in multiparticle interferometry. A correlation-dependent generalization of the relative state geometric phase to mixed quantum states is outlined. Introduction. – Pancharatnam’s geometric phase [1] is a property of ...

Since 2009, the BESIII experiment has been colliding e + − beams in energy range between 2.0 and 4.9 GeV. This allowed Collaboration to collect three of largest data sets charmonium resonances ( J /ψ, ψ(2 S ), ψ(3770)) world as well other at centre-of-mass energies above 3.8 These datasets allow deepen knowledge properties charmonia; investigate light hadrons spectra; probe decay production mec...

We evaluate the cross sections for the dissociation of J/ψ and ψ ′ by π and ρ at low collision energies, using the quark-interchange model of Barnes and Swanson. The dissociation cross section for J/ψ by π is found to be relatively small with a maximum of about 1 mb and a kinetic energy threshold of 0.65 GeV. The pion-induced ψ ′ dissociation cross section is found to be much larger, with a max...

We present a microscopic calculation of the breakup cross sections of and ψ on pions and nucleons as a function of the kinetic energy. These cross sections are used for the investigation of the J/ψ to continuum and ψ/J/ψ ratios in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions. The contribution of produced comoving pions to the ψ/J/ψ signal is calculated. While this model can account for the data, the...

We present a search for direct CP violation in B → J/ψ K and B → ψ(2S)K decays. In a sample of 9.7 × 106 BB meson pairs collected with the CLEO detector, we have fully reconstructed 534 B → J/ψK and 120 B → ψ(2S)K decays with very low background. We have measured the CP -violating charge asymmetry to be (+1.8 ± 4.3[stat] ± 0.4[syst])% for B → J/ψ K and (+2.0 ± 9.1[stat]± 1.0[syst])% for B → ψ(2...

Given a closed hyperbolic 3-manifold Tψ that fibers over the circle with monodromy ψ : S → S, the monodromy ψ determines an isometry of Teichmüller space with its Weil-Petersson metric whose translation distance ‖ψ‖WP is positive. We show there is a constant K ≥ 1 depending only on the topology of S so that the volume of Tψ satisfies ‖ψ‖WP/K ≤ vol(Tψ) ≤ K‖ψ‖WP.

The cross sections for inelastic photoproduction of J/ψ and ψ ′ mesons have been measured in ep collisions with the ZEUS detector at HERA, using an integrated luminosity of 468 pb −1 collected in the period 1996–2007. The ψ ′ to J/ψ cross section ratio was measured in the range 0.55 < z < 0.9 and 60 < W < 190 GeV as a function of W , z and p T. Here W denotes the photon-proton centre-of-mass en...

1. For a discrete process convolution model with unknown kernel parameters, linear trend, and inverse gamma priors on the variance parameters, write the full conditionals and indicate how to perform the calculations needed to sample from them. In matrix form, we have y = X(s)β + K(s, ψ)w + , where x(s i) is the i-th row of X(s), K ij = k ij = k(s i − u j ; ψ). With the assumption that p(w, β, τ...
