Two cases of Squamous cell carcinoma are recorded in zebu cattle of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Lesions showed different clinical aspects Papule and cauliflower like growths placed at level of nictinating membrane of eye and interdigital spaces of hind limb respectively. Cytology and histopathological examination revealed well and poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinomas respectively.

The aim of the present investigation was to assess the filarial transmission levels in houses of different structure in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh, India. During this study, ecologically-similar households were selected for entomological study. The per-man-hour density (PMHD), infection and infectivity rates, were recorded in different ranges ie, 16.1 to 77.6, 0-31.2% and 0-5.6%, respectively.

A new Streptomycete was isolated from soils of Andhra Pradesh in India. The morphological, cultural, physiological and biochemical characters were studied, compared to known species and identified as a new species of Streptomyces rufus. Antibiotic activity of the strain was tested against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as fungi and yeasts.
