Atom transfer radical addition of bromonitromethane and 1,2-dibromotetrafluoroethane to alkenes is described. The reaction performed under blue light irradiation using two catalysts: 4CzIPN manganese (II) bromide. cyanoarene photocatalyst serves for the redox activation starting organic bromide, while salt facilitates trapping alkyl with formation carbon–bromine bond.
