We study the B 0 s − B 0 s mixing amplitude in Standard Model by computing the relevant hadronic matrix element in the static limit of lattice HQET with the Neuberger light quark action. In the quenched approximation, and after matching to the MS scheme in QCD, we obtain B MS B s (m b) = 0.940(16)(22). c Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCom...
We study contributions of quark-squark-gluino interactions in Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) to B → PP (PP = Kπ, ππ,KK) decays using QCD improved factorization method for the evaluation of the hadronic matrix elements and taking into account renormalization group running of the Wilson coefficients from SUSY scale (≈ mq̃) to the low energy scale (= mb) applicable to B decays. Using ...
AMPLE clusters and truncates ab initio protein structure predictions, producing search models for molecular replacement. Here, an interesting degree of complementarity is shown between targets solved using the different ab initio modelling programs QUARK and ROSETTA. Search models derived from either program collectively solve almost all of the all-helical targets in the test set. Initial solut...
We calculate the decay width for Λb → Λceν̄ in the frame work of a nonrelativistic quark (NRQ) model of heavy baryons where the light quarks play the role of spectators. Our calculation does not make an explicit use of the heavy quark symmetry. The branching ratio for the above process as calculated here agrees reasonably well with the experimental value. Spin-dependent parton distributions in the polarized virtual photon are investigated in QCD up to the next-to-leading order (NLO). In the case Λ 2 P 2 Q , where Q 2 ( P ) is the mass squared of the probe (target) photon, parton distributions can be predicted completely up to the NLO, but they are factorization-scheme-dependent. Parton distributions are analyzed in four different factorization s...
We reconsider the prediction of the semileptonic branching ratio of B mesons, using the recent calculation [1] of the radiative corrections with account for finite quark masses in nonleptonic decays and taking into account 1/mb corrections. For the semileptonic branching ratio we obtain BSL = (11.8±1.6)% using pole quark masses and BSL = (11.0± 1.9)% using running MS quark masses. The uncertain...
So far the static properties of hadrons have been introduced in various models. The static properties of hadrons (charge radius, magnetic moment, etc.) are useful for understanding the quark structure of hadron. In this work we have introduced the hypercentral constituent quark and isospin dependent potentials. Here constituent quarks interact with each other via a potential in which we have ta...
The heavy-quark expansion for inclusive semi-leptonic B decays introduces Λ̄ and λ1, which are matrix elements in heavy-quark effective field theory. We review how they can be obtained from an analysis of the heavy quark mass dependence of heavy-light meson masses in lattice QCD. We present preliminary results for the bottom quark mass, mb, using Λ̄ and λ1 for the Bs meson from a 2+1 sea-flavor u...
On the QCD corrections to the charged Higgs decay of a heavy quark. Using dimensional regularization for both infrared and ultraviolet divergences, we confirm that the QCD corrections to the decay width Γ(t → H + b) are equal to those to Γ(t → W + b) in the limit of a large t quark mass.
