In this article, the approach involving Dynamic Threshold Optimization (DTO) algorithm is considered to optimize a new compact reconfigurable antenna to be applied to triple band Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and to ultra wideband (UWB) antenna with multiple bands notched. The antenna is implemented by using the existing techniques, such as loading an L-type band-stop filter, inserting ...

In this manuscript, a novel design of ultra-wideband (UWB) monopole antenna with dual frequency band-stop performance is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of an ordinary square radiating patch with a pair of rotated T-shaped slits, and a modified ground plane with an inverted Ω-shaped and a pair of rectangular-ring slots. In the presented structure, by cutting a pair of rectangularring sl...

This paper presents the study on a compact polarization diversity antenna array consisting of two orthogonally placed hybrid dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) elements. A prototype antenna array for IEEE802.11a WLAN application is designed and measured. Over 20 dB isolation and 18% input impedance bandwidth is achieved while symmetrical and unidirectional radiation patterns are maintained over...

The proposed multiband planar inverted-F antenna has a very simple structure. The antenna has only one layer so it is easy to fabricate. The size of radiating patch of proposed antenna is 20mm× 25mm, while the size of ground plane is 39mm×39mm and height of antenna is 3mm. Mathematical tools are used to determine the initial dimensions of the patch and RT Duroid has been used as a dielectric ma...

A novel printed monopole antenna with a pair of parasitic patches for wideband operation is proposed and studied. With the use of parasitic patches along the microstrip feed line, a good performance of bandwidth enhancement is obtained. The measured impedance bandwidth, defined by voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) ≤ 2, can operate from 2.3 to 6.2GHz. A tri-band printed monopole antenna is crea...

This paper presents a novel textile wearable antenna that has been designed to operate at Wi-Fi bands of 2.4GHz & 5.8GHz. Antenna performance in free space environment showed Gain of 1.8dBi at 2.4GHz and 4.5dBi at 5.8GHz. However, performance deteriorated when antenna was operated near human body which is lossy and complex in nature. For mitigating the human body effect on antenna performance, ...

Abstract: A novel reconfigurable patch antenna for frequency diversity is proposed by reconfiguring its geometry using tree rectangular tapes that are connected to the patch via six RF MEMS switches. So switching between the different frequency bands is achieved by using capacitive series RF-MEMS switches. The antenna was designed to operate at 2.6 GHz, 3.1 GHz, 3.5 GHz and 5 GHz.

A dual-band printed dipole antenna with integrated balun feed is given in this paper. First, the fork-shaped slot is etched on the arms of the printed dipole antenna to achieve the dual-band operation with resonances at WLAN bands. The radiating element without balun is optimized and operates at 2.4 GHz (2180–2750MHz) and 5.2GHz (5040 MHz–5480MHz) where return loss is less than −10 dB. In order...

Satellite broadcasting of UHDTV in Japan has used the 12-GHz band (11.7 to 12.75GHz) since 2018. The 21-GHz (21.4 22.0GHz) also been allocated satellite Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific. BSAT-4a not only 12-GHz-band transponders for services, but 21-GHz-band experimental future services. To receive services using these two frequency bands with a single antenna, we designed 12- dual-band horn an...

This paper presents the design of a circular sector microstrip antenna and arrays that could be used in many bands: X or C band. Based on the designed patch antenna, many phased arrays will be simulated using HFSS. The impact of distance between element, number of element and phase will be checked. Obtained results are analyzed.
