The proposed framework applies two game theoretic models for economic deployment of intrusion detection system (IDS). The first scheme models and analyzes the interaction behaviors of between an attacker and intrusion detection agent within a non-cooperative game, and then the security risk value is derived from the mixed strategy Nash equilibrium. The second scheme uses the security risk value...

Background: Acute myocardial infarction (MI) accounts for one third of deaths. Cardiac troponin I (TnI) is a reliable biomarker of cardiac muscle tissue injury and is employed in the early diagnosis of MI.Objectives: In this study, a molecular method is introduced to early diagnosis of MI by rapid detection of TnI.Materials and Methods: The detection method was based on electrochemical aptasens...

We show how the branching process approach can be used for the detection of illegal behaviors. Our study is based on the specification of properties in terms of testers that cover safety as well as liveness properties. We demonstrate that the unfolding method can be used in this context and propose an extension of it, called unfolding graphs, for the definition of failure equivalent graphs.

In this paper, we proposed a novel method to detect new words in domain-specific fields based on user behaviors. First, we select the most representative words from domain-specific lexicon. Then combining with user behaviors, we try to discover the potential experts in this field who use those terminologies frequently. Finally, we make further efforts to identify new words from behaviors of tho...

dental caries, a progressive bacterial damage to teeth, is one of the most common diseases that affects 95% of the population and is still a major cause of tooth loss. unfortunately, there is currently no highly sensitive and specific clinical means for its detection in its early stages. the accurate detection of early caries in enamel would be of significant clinical value. since, it is possib...

This study investigated factors predicting the courtship stalking behavior of male college students. Data were collected from 164 male college students who were described as men who wanted to date women who did not want to date them. Participants were from either a four-year university or a two-year college located in A-city, Korea. Courtship stalking behaviors were measured using Sinclair and ...

Online auctions are vulnerable to shill bidders, who intend to artificially raise bidding prices, causing winning bidders to pay more than they should pay for auctioned items. Detection of such fraudulent behaviors is very difficult, especially when an auction is in progress, or “live”. This paper focuses on a formal technique to detect shilling behaviors in live online auctions. We define a mo...

Extended Finite State Machine (EFSM)-based passive fault detection involves modeling the system under test (SUT) as an EFSM M, monitoring the input/output behaviors of the SUT, and determining whether these behaviors relate to faults within the SUT. We propose a new approach for EFSM-based passive fault detection which randomly selects a state in M and checks whether there is a trace in M start...
