The electromagnetic interaction of the hydrogen atom is used as an experimental device and the data prove that bound fields and radiation fields are different physical objects. A further analysis proves that there is no direct interaction between radiation fields and there is no self-interaction of fields of an elementary pointlike charge. Therefore, bound fields and radiation fields should be ...

We study the evolution of electromagnetic fields in curved spacetimes and calculate the exact wave equations of the associated electric and magnetic components. Our analysis applies to a general spacetime, is fully covariant and isolates all the sources that affect the propagation of these waves. Among others, we explicitly show how the different parts of the gravitational field act as driving ...

A review of the literature is provided for the topic of health-related research and power frequency electromagnetic fields. Minimal evidence for concern is present on the basis of animal and plant research. General observation would accord with the implication that there is no single and manifest health effect as the result of exposure to these fields. There are persistent indications, however,...

We study relativistically expanding electromagnetic fields of cylindrical geometry. The fields emerge from the side surface of a cylinder and are invariant under translations parallel to the axis of the cylinder. The expansion velocity is in the radial direction and is parametrized by v = R/(ct). We consider force-free magnetic fields by setting the total force the electromagnetic field exerts ...

We employ the analytical solutions for the spatial transformation of the electromagnetic fields to obtain and analyze explicit expressions for the structure of the electromagnetic fields in invisibility cloaks. Similar approach can be also used for analyzing beam splitters and field concentrators. We study the efficiency of nonideal electromagnetic cloaks and discuss the effect of scattering lo...

This paper deals with the scattering problem by an inhomogeneous object embedded in a chiral medium. A combined Hilbert space and integral equation method is employed to prove the existence and uniqueness of the solutions to the scattering problem. It is shown that the classical Silver-M uller radiation condition remains valid in chiral media.

This paper presents an approach to modeling of field penetration and gives contribution to understanding the real effects of the fields and the sensitivity of human model to electromagnetic radiation generated by mobile antenna. When a human body is exposed to the electromagnetic radiation, because human body contain 70% of liquid, and it contain more liquid near of head, heart, abdomen (near o...

Rabi oscillations describe the process whereby electromagnetic radiation interacts coherently with spin states in a non-equilibrium interaction. To date, Rabi oscillations have not been studied in one of the most common spin ensembles in nature: spins in ferromagnets. Here, using a combination of femtosecond laser pulses and microwave excitations, we report the classical analogue of Rabi oscill...

This study investigated the effects of electromagnetic fields on enzymes involved in purine metabolism in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells in vitro. Cells were obtained from 20 volunteers. We tested both low-energy, extremely low frequency (ELF; 100-Hz) electromagnetic fields and the Therapeutic Application of Musically Modulated Electromagnetic Fields (TAMMEFs); the latter is character...

This paper reviews experimental studies on the effects of radiofrequency (RF), extremely low frequency (ELF), and intermediate frequency (IF) electromagnetic fields on animal development. Numerous studies have shown that RF fields are teratogenic at exposure levels sufficiently high to cause significant increase of temperature. There is no consistent evidence of RF field effects at nonthermal e...
