The coupling of arylboroxines with a variety of amines, amides, imides and sulfonamides catalyzed by a copper salt/EtOH system has been developed. In the absence of a base or additive the corresponding N-arylation products were obtained in moderate to excellent yields.
Enantiopure chiral amines synthesis using omega-transaminases is hindered by an unfavourable equilibrium, but when using isopropylamine as the amine donor the equilibrium can be completely displaced by using a specific dehydrogenase in situ for removal of formed acetone.
The first chiral catalyst for the three-component Ugi reaction was identified as a result of a screen of a large set of different BOROX catalysts. The BOROX catalysts were assembled in situ from a chiral biaryl ligand, an amine, water, BH3·SMe2, and an alcohol or phenol. The catalyst screen included 13 different ligands, 12 amines, and 47 alcohols or phenols. The optimal catalyst system (LAP 8-...
A highly selective (>99%) tandem catalytic system for the conversion of ethanol (up to 37%) to n-butanol, through the Guerbet process, has been developed using a bifunctional iridium catalyst coupled with bulky nickel or copper hydroxides. These sterically crowded nickel and copper hydroxides catalyze the key aldol coupling reaction of acetaldehyde to exclusively yield the C4 coupling product, ...
It is well known that small amount Piperazine (PZ) enhance the CO2 absorption properties of tertiary amine aqueous solution. Because the tert-amine has the lower heat of reaction, the blended amine solution, tert-amine with PZ, is attractive for low energy absorbent. There are some reports about the investigation of the mechanism of the blended amine solution, however, there still a difficulty ...
Intrinsically microporous polyamines (PIM-EA-TB) provide tertiary amine binding sites for protons and in this way allow switching/gating from a low ionic conductivity state to semipermeable anion through micropores. In ethanolic NaClO4 media PIM-EA-TB films (approx. 10 μm thick; deposited asymmetrically onto diameter microhole 5 thick Teflon) is lowered by ion exclusion compared observed aqueou...
To reveal the effect of chlorine substituents in ring aromatic amine on synthesis process benzoxazine monomer and its polymerization ability, as well to develop a fire-resistant material, previously unreported based 3,3′-dichloro-4,4′-diaminodiphenylmethane was obtained toluene mixture toluene/isopropanol. The resulting monomers were thermally cured for 2 h at 180 °C, 4 200 220 °C. A comparison...
This work focuses on determining the dissociation constants (pKa) of eight amines, namely, 3-(Diethylamino) propylamine, 1,3-Diaminopentane, 3-Butoxypropylamine, 2-(Methylamino) ethanol, Bis(2-methoxyethyl) amine, α-Methylbenzylamine, 2-Aminoheptane, and 3-Amino-1-phenylbutane, within temperatures ranging from 293.15 K to 323.15 K. The thermodynamic properties protonated reactions were regresse...
in this paper, we report on the synthesis of cu nanoparticles through a single-precursor route by controlling the growth temperature. selective adsorption of oleylamine on various crystal planes may play an important role in the growth process. the understanding of this self-assembling process will help us develop reliable and reproducible methods to synthesis other three dimensional nanostruct...
Amine-modified mesoporous SBA-15 adsorbent has been prepared by impregnation method using tetraethylenepentamine. The samples of this modified SBA-15 have been characterized by small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherm and FT-IR. The adsorption capacity of CO2 on unmodified and modified samples were measured at high pressure...
