In this paper we study the existence of solution of a nonlinear integral equation of (mixed type) Volterra-Fredholm type. In this paper we analyse the iterated discrete Legendre Galerkin method for Fredholm-Hammerstein integral equation with a smooth kernel. Using a sufficiently accurate numerical quadrature rule, we obtain super-convergence rates for the iterated discrete Legendre Galerkin solutions in both infinity and L-norm. The paper is concerned with the existence of a classical solution of a mixed third boundary value problem on a sphere. The existence is proved by reducing the problem to a Fredholm integral equation that has a unique solution. Various consequences of the existence theorem are mentioned and some numerical results are given.
