This paper presents some important classes of the continuous functions defined from set real numbers to space complex intervals. These function spaces have an algebraic structure named as a quasilinear which is suggested by Aseev in 1986. In this work, we analysis on and interval-valued functions. Further, show that these are normed Ω-spaces. Finally, examine dimension spaces.

In this paper we introduce the concepts of double lacunary strongly convergence and double lacunary statistical convergence of double interval numbers. We prove some inclusion relations and study some of their properties. Subjclass [2000] : 40C05,40J05, 46A45.

In many practical situations, we only know the bounds on the distances. A natural question is: knowing these bounds, can we check whether there exists a metric whose distance always lie within these bounds – or such a metric is not possible and thus, the bounds are inconsistent. In this paper, we provide an answer to this question. We also describe possible applications of this result to a desc...

Two topological spaces X and Y are said to be l-equivalent if there is a linear homeomorphism between Cp(X) and Cp(Y ), the spaces of continuous functions on X and Y endowed with the pointwise convergence topology. We prove a necessary condition on a topological space to be lequivalent to the n-dimensional cube. This, in particular, combined with a recent result of R. Górak, characterizes the t...

The scale and rotation invariance properties of a recently proposed algorithm, using the fuzzy evidence accumulation principle, for finding lines (ridges) of non-parametric shapes is analysed. The proposed modifications consist in scaling the accumulated value with the inverse of the line width and further fuzzifying the accumulation process – along the line width. Good invariance properties re...

A radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) model is employed to predict the short-interval (within 15-minute) traffic series, including flow, speed and occupancy, which are measured in different time intervals, time lags, dimensions of state spaces, and times of day. Aside from describing entirely the methodology of RBFNN, the paper also uses two deterministic functions to test prediction p...

The Smolyak algorithm represents one possible approach to the approximation of functions of many variables. The natural domains of de nition are given by tensor products of function spaces de ned on R or on some interval I ⊂ R. Here Besov as well as Sobolev spaces of dominating mixed smoothness come into play. They are tensor products of Besov and Sobolev spaces de ned on R.

Interval arithmetic and stochastic arithmetic have been both developed for the same purpose, i. e. to control errors coming from floating point arithmetic of computers and validate the results of numerical algorithms performed on computers. Interval arithmetic delivers guaranteed bounds for numerical results but requires special analysis and algorithms. On the other hand stochastic arithmetic i...
