We present the structural and initial magnetic characterization of previously unreported materials NdPd5Ge3 NdPd5Ge3. These materials, with 1-dimensional Nd chains, crystallize in orthorhombic YNi5Si3-type structure space group Pnma. Magnetic ordering is observed for both compounds at ~ 2.2 K 3.0 NdPt5Ge3.
