the aim of this study was to optimize the encapsulation conditions of garlic oil (go) with β-cyclodextrin (go/β-cd) inclusion complex by the co-precipitation method. response surface optimization of encapsulation of go with β–cd was performed with a three-variable, three-level and the optimum conditions were as follows: temperature: 35oc, core/wall: 8/100, and wall/solvent: 5.5/100. the complex...

The Baldin sum rule for the nucleon has been recalculated at the light of the most recent photoabsorption cross section measurements. The proton value (α + β) p = 13.69 ± 0.14 is smaller but consistent with the one usually quoted in literature. However, the value for the neutron (α + β) n = 14.40 ± 0.66 turns out to be three standard deviations away from the previously calculated one.

This paper proposes measures of systematic skewness and systematic kurtosis as symmetric measures of risk by extending the work of Kraus and Litzenberg (1976). We examine an asset pricing model that incorporates systematic skewness and systematic kurtosis to test the cross section of asset returns within the context of the Fama and MacBeth (1973) two-pass estimation methodology. However, this e...

A sensitive monitoring of biological analytes, such as biomolecules (protein, lipid, DNA and RNA), and biological cells (blood cell, virus and bacteria), is essential to assess and avoid risks for human health. Nanobiosensors, analytical devices that combine a biologically sensitive element with a nanostructured transducer, are being widely used for molecular detection of biomarkers associated ...

Neural mechanisms of cognitive control enable us to initiate, coordinate and update behaviour. Central to successful control is the ability to suppress actions that are no longer relevant or required. In this article, we review the contribution of cognitive neuroscience, molecular genetics and clinical investigations to understanding how response inhibition is mediated in the human brain. In Se...

Fatemeh Zafarani Firoozeh Ahmadi, Hadieh Haghighi Maryam Niknejadi,

Pregnancy implantation within the scar of a previous cesarean delivery is one of the rarest locations for an ectopic pregnancy. Early diagnosis of this condition with the use of ultrasound imaging allows for preserving the uterus and subsequent fertility. However, a delay in either diagnosis or treatment can lead to uterine rupture, hysterectomy and significant maternal morbidity. With increasi...
