The three oxidation states of Co in a molecular cobaloxime were used to realise an electrochromic device displaying the red, yellow, blue (RYB) set of subtractive primary colours. A facile method for the lithographic patterning of a several micrometre thick indium tin oxide (ITO) mesoporous layer was developed, which served as the scaffold for cobaloxime adsorption.

Transparent p – i – n heterojunction diodes are fabricated using heavily doped, p-type CuYO2 and semi-insulating i-ZnO thin films deposited onto a glass substrate coated with n-type indium tin oxide. Rectification is observed, with a ratio of forward-to-reverse current as high as 60 in the range 24–4 V. The forward-bias current–voltage characteristics are dominated by the flow of space-charge-l...

The indium tin oxide scrap (ITOS) was mechanically activated by a stirring ball mill and subsequently studied for the leaching behavior and kinetics of extracting indium from ITOS in hydrochloric acid solution. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that MA caused the decrease in crystalline phase and increase in lattice distortion. The effects of reaction temperature and hydrochloric acid...

Metal oxide gas sensors with integrated micro-hotplate structures are widely used in the industry and they are still being investigated and developed. Metal oxide gas sensors have the advantage of being sensitive to a wide range of organic and inorganic volatile compounds, although they lack selectivity. To introduce selectivity, the operating temperature of a single sensor is swept, and the me...

Hydrogel has been regarded as one significant biomaterial in biomedical and tissue engineering due to its high biocompatibility. This paper proposes a novel method to pattern calcium alginate hydrogel in a 3D way via electrodeposition process based on a piece of paper. Firstly, one insulating paper with patterned holes is placed on one indium tin oxide (ITO) glass surface, which is put below an...

Indium belongs to Group III A in the periodic table and it is mainly used in the making of thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays (LCDs) for television screens, portable computer screens, pocket telephone displays and video monitors, mainly through the utilization of indiumtin oxide (ITO). ITO is a sintered alloy containing a large portion of indium oxide and a small portion of tin oxide....

We demonstrate second-harmonic generation in polymeric light-emitting diodes built in a layer structure of indium tin Ž . oxide, poly phenylene vinylene and aluminum. The second-harmonic intensity generated in the active zone of the diode depends quadratically on the applied reverse bias. In order to account for the bias dependence of the measured intensity a simple model is given in that the s...

The influence of a surface potential gradient on the location and extent of electrochemical reactions was examined using a scanning electrochemical microscope. A linear potential gradient was imposed on the surface of a platinum-coated indium tin oxide electrode by applying two different potential values at the edges of the electrode. The applied potentials were used to control the location and...
