The microwave assisted synthesis nowadays attracts a great deal of attention. Monoclinic phase VO2 (M) was prepared from NH4VO3 and H2C2O4 · 2H2O by a rapid microwave assisted technique. The synthesis parameters, microwave irradiation time, microwave power, and calcinations temperature were systematically varied and their influences on the structure and morphology were evaluated. The microwave ...

Abstract Heterogeneous photocatalysis is an advanced oxidation process (AOP). This technique used to degrade a wide range of pollutants in water. In this study, photocatalytic and mineralization malachite green aqueous suspension containing nickel-based catalysts copper supported on TiO 2 prepared by wet diffusional impregnation was studied using two sources irradiation: solar microwave. Photod...

We explored the effects of microwave irradiation on epidermal-dermal separation and subsequent immunostaining of epidermal cells. Epidermal sheets were obtained after incubation in 0.02 M EDTA in PBS and microwave irradiation with 4 pulses of 420 watts for 5 sec, with a total incubation period of 4 min. The control epidermal sheets were immunostained for Langerhans cells and dendritic epidermal...

The combination of the ionic liquid co-lyophilized lipase and microwave irradiation was used to improve enzyme performance in enantioselective esterification of α-lipoic acid. Effects of various reaction conditions on enzyme activity and enantioselectivity were investigated. Under optimal condition, the highest enantioselectivity (E = 41.2) was observed with a high enzyme activity (178.1 μmol/h...

An efficient and practical protocol has been developed to synthesize 5,6-dihydroindolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline derivatives by CuI-catalyzed intramolecular N-arylation under microwave irradiation. This method rapidly afforded the tetracyclic products with good to excellent yields (83-97%) in short reaction times (45-60 min).

An efficient and green protocol for the synthesis of αaminonitriles derivatives by one-pot reaction of different aldehydes with amines and trimethylsilyl cyanides has been developed using natural alumina, alumina sulfuric acid (ASA), nano-γ-alumina, nanoalumina sulfuric acid (nano-ASA) under microwave irradiation and solvent-free conditions. The advantages of methods are short reaction times, h...

2-Benzoylamino-N-phenyl-benzamide derivatives (5a-h) were prepared from 2-phenyl-3,1-(4H)-benzoxazin-4-one 3 and substituted anilines 4a-h in the presence of a Keggin-type heteropolyacids series (H₃PW12O40·13H₂O; H₄SiW12O40·13H₂O; H₄SiMo12O40·13H₂O; and H₃PMo12O40·13H₂O) as catalysts without solvent and under microwave irradiation. We found that the use of H₃PW12O40·13H₂O acid coupled to microw...

Recent observations of nonthermal, resonant biological responses to weak millimeter microwave irradiation have led us to investigate whether similar influences exist on enzymatic functions in vitro. We chose (i) the reduction of ethanol in the presence of alcohol dehydrogenase and (ii) the cooperative binding of oxygen on hemoglobin. Using an irradiation intensity near 10 mW/cm2 the frequency w...

A simple green approach for the production of benzylideneaniline oxides is offered. This contribution was performed via the condensation of phenylhydroxylamine with several aryl aldehydes, in the absence of both catalyst and solvent, and using microwave irradiation as the activating reaction mode. In addition, good yields of the products were achieved in a short time. It is also worth noting th...

Fatty acids methyl esters (FAME) have been prepared under microwave irradiation, using homogeneous catalysis, either in batch or in a flow system. The quality of the biodiesel obtained has been confirmed by GC analysis of the isolated product. While the initial experiments have been performed in a small scale laboratory batch reactor, the best experiment has been straightforward converted into ...
