N,N′-dibutyloxamide (1) was prepared by reacting diethyloxalate with n-butylamine in ethyl alcohol and characterized microanalytical techniques, FT-IR, NMR spectroscopy. Crystals suitable for single crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD) were obtained from an acetonitrile solution of 1, the structural characterization showed presence intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions.
