the theorem 12 in [a note on $p$-nilpotence and solvability of finite groups, j. algebra 321(2009) 1555--1560.] investigated the non-abelian simple groups in which some maximal subgroups have primes indice. in this note we show that this result can be applied to prove that the finite groups in which every non-nilpotent maximal subgroup has prime index aresolvable.

Gromov proposed an averaged version of the Dehn function and claimed that in many cases it should be subasymptotic to the Dehn function. We give bounds on Kazhdan constants of abelian extensions of (finite) groups. As a corollary, we improved known results of Kazhdan constants for some meta-abelian groups and for the relatively free group in the variety of p-groups of lower p-series of class 2. Furthermore, we calculate Kazhdan constants of the tame automorphism groups of the free nilpotent groups.

In this paper we study groups generated by a set X with the property that every two elements in X generate a nilpotent subgroup.
