Abstract We calculate the rate of double parton scattering (DPS) in proton-proton collisions framework recently proposed hot spot model nucleon structure. The resulting rate, especially for case three spots, is compared with current experimental data on DPS at LHC.
Three-body decay functions in time-like parton branching are calculated using the jet calculus to the next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) order in perturbative quantum chromodynamics (QCD). The phase space contributions from each of the ladder diagrams and interference diagrams are presented. We correct part of the results for the three-body decay functions calculated previously by two groups. Em...
Comparing the respective structures of the correlators defining generalized and transverse momentum dependent parton distributions, one finds possible relations between these two objects. Although it looks like the relations found do not hold in general, we show that they can be established at least in simple spectator model calculations. In addition, we discuss these relations in the context o...
In this talk the relation between the semiclassical approach and the concept of diffractive parton densities is discussed. The proton rest frame calculation is organized in a way that exhibits the hard partonic cross section and the diffractive parton density as the two fundamental ingredients. The latter one is a non-perturbative quantity which, in the present model, is explicitly given by int...
We study the gluon parton densities [parton distribution functions (PDFs), transverse momentum distributions (TMDs), generalized (GPDs)] and form factors in soft-wall AdS/QCD. show that power behavior of at large values light-cone variable square is consistent with quark counting rules. also derived our approach obey model-independent Mulders-Rodrigues inequalities without referring to specific...
We try to explain the apparently ”thermal” shape of the inclusive transverse momentum spectrum. We conjecture that prior to the collision, parton-parton interactions generate a kind of a stochastic process driving the one-particle spectrum within a hadron towards the thermal shape it would have in a classical gas. We illustrate this idea, which might have a more general relevance, with a simple...
