Using lattice techniques we investigate the generation of long range cosmological magnetic fields during a cold electroweak transition. We will show how magnetic fields arise, during bubble collisions, in the form of magnetic strings. We conjecture that these magnetic strings originate from the alignment of magnetic dipoles associated with EW sphaleron-like configurations. We also discuss the e...

Pressure-induced skin blood flow responses measured via laser Doppler flowmetry are commonly reported in the time domain. The usefulness of spectral analysis in examining blood flow control mechanisms has been demonstrated, but traditional Fourier analysis does not provide sufficient resolution to reveal characteristic low frequencies. Time-frequency (wavelet) analysis was performed on 10 subje...

We use hydrodynamical simulations to assess the impact of radiative cooling and “preheating” on predictions for the Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect. Cooling significantly reduces both the mean SZ signal and its angular power spectrum, while preheating can increase the mean distortion while leaving the angular power spectrum below that found in a simulation without heating or cooling. We study the...

A previously developed heat transfer model is used to study the influence of welding parameters on weld defect development in thermite welds. Weld defect formation maps are constructed from a series of heat transfer simulations. For the current normal rail thermite welding conditions, it is found that shrinkage cavity formation can be avoided but cold-lap and centre-line defects are likely to o...

We use Instant Preheating as a mechanism to reheat the universe when its evolution is modeled by non-oscillating background. Once we obtain reheating temperature, calculate number of e-folds using two different methods, which allows us establish relationship between temperature and spectral index scalar perturbations. explore this connection constrain for Quintessential Inflation models.
