In this paper hyperchaos synchronization is restated as a nonlinear observer design issue. This approach leads to a systematic tool, which guarantees synchronization of a wide class of hyperchaotic systems via a scafar signal. By exploiting this result, we propose to combine conventional cryptographic methods and Jynchronization of chaotic circuits to design hyperchaos-based cryptosystems. This...

An all-optical cryptographic device for secure communication, based on the properties of soliton beams, is presented. It can encode a given bit stream of optical pulses, changing their phase and their amplitude as a function of an encryption serial key that merge with the data stream, generating a ciphered stream. The greatest advantage of the device is real-time encrypting – data can be transm...

Merging the adaptive networks with the free space optical (FSO) communication technology is a very interesting field of research because by adding the benefits of this technology, the adaptive networks become more efficient, cheap and secure. This is due to the fact that FSO communication uses unregistered visible light bandwidth instead of the overused radio spectrum. However, in spite of all ...

This paper studies impulsive synchronization of two Lorenz systems. An impulsive control scheme which considers transmission delay in chaos-based secure communication is presented. Sufficient conditions for the globally exponential stabilization of impulsive synchronization of two Lorenz systems are established by employing the Lyapunov-Razumikhin method. Upper bounds of the length and strength...

Advancements in telecommunication services and networking, have remarkably improved information communication services. The growing need of proper and secure communication is based on using appropriate communication technologies to work effectively and efficiently to meet the objectives of the information users. For some time this has been a great problem. For example, if one element e.g. a cab...

This paper describes the security weakness of a recently proposed secure communication method based on discrete-time chaos synchronization. We show that the security is compromised even without precise knowledge of the chaotic system used. We also make many suggestions to improve its security in future versions.

Security and efficiency are two crucial issues in vehicular ad hoc networks. Many researches have devoted to these issues. However, we found that most of the proposed protocols in this area are insecure and can’t satisfy the anonymous property. Due to this observation, we propose a secure and anonymous method based on bilinear pairings to resolve the problems. After analysis, we conclude that o...

In this paper, the emergence of hyperchaos in a network with two very simple discrete periodic oscillators is presented. Uncoupled periodic oscillators may represent, in the crudest and simplest form, periodic oscillators in nature, for example fireflies, crickets, menstrual cycles of women, among others. Nevertheless, the emergence of hyperchaos in this kind of real-life network has not been p...
