This paper addresses the design and implementation of digital unbiased finite impulse response (FIR) filters with polynomial impulse response functions. The transfer function, its fundamental properties, and a general block-diagram are discussed for the impulse response represented with the l-degree Taylor series expansion. As a particular results, we show a fundamental identity uniquely featur...

AbstructA new expression for the output moments of weighted mcdian filtered data is derived in this paper. The noise attenuation capability of a weighted median filter can now be assessed using the L-vector and AI-vector parameters in the new expression. The second major contribution of the paper is the development of a new optimality theory for weighted median filters. This theory is based on ...

Applying the idea of soft set theory to lattice implication algebras, the novel concept of (implicative) filteristic soft lattice implication algebras which related to (implicative) filter(for short, (IF -)F -soft lattice implication algebras) are introduced. Basic properties of (IF -)F -soft lattice implication algebras are derived. Two kinds of fuzzy filters (i.e.(∈,∈ ∨qk)((∈,∈ ∨ qk))-fuzzy (...

Based on polynomial functions this paper introduces a generalized design method for interpolation filters. The polynomial-based interpolation filters can be implemented efficiently by using a modified Farrow structure with an arbitrary frequency response, the filters allow many pass-bands and stop-bands, and for each band the desired amplitude and weight can be set arbitrarily. The optimization...

Filters built from resistors (R), inductors (L) and capacitors (C) are known as RLC or passive filters and are the dominant type of filter for high frequency applications. The performance of these filters is typically limited by the inductors which are large, expensive and far from ideal in an electrical sense. By using amplifiers and feedback, the same filter characteristics can be achieved wi...

Let G be a stratified Lie group and L be the sub-Laplacian on G. Let 0 6= f ∈ S(R). We show that Lf(L)δ, the distribution kernel of the operator Lf(L), is an admissible function on G. We also show that, if ξf(ξ) satisfies Daubechies’ criterion, then Lf(L)δ generates a frame for any sufficiently fine lattice subgroup of G.

In this paper, a procedure for analyzing and designing of tunable wideband band-pass and band-stop graphene based filters in the terahertz band is proposed. These planar wideband plasmonic filters are unique in their kind. With this procedure, it is possible to design filters with the desired functional characteristics in the form of the similar quarter-wavelength resonance stubs. The discontin...

A 2-stratified graph G is a graph whose vertex set has been partitioned into two subsets, called the strata or color classes of G. Two 2-stratified graphs G and H are isomorphic if there exists a color-preserving isomorphism φ from G to H. A 2-stratified graph G is said to be homogeneously embedded in a 2-stratified graph H if for every vertex x of G and every vertex y of H, where x and y are c...
