A ring R is called a right Ikeda-Nakayama (for short IN-ring) if the left annihilator of the intersection of any two right ideals is the sum of the left annihilators, that is, if (I ∩ J) = (I) + (J) for all right ideals I and J of R. R is called Armendariz ring if whenever polynomials f (x) = a0 + a1x + ··· + amx, g(x) = b0 + b1x + ··· + bnx ∈ R[x] satisfy f (x)g(x) = 0, then aibj = 0 for each ...

In the title compound, C25H25ClO2, the C ring adopts a chair conformation, while the B ring approximates a half-chair conformation. The five-membered ring D has a twist con-form-ation on the C-C bond fused with the C ring. Aromatic rings A and E are not coplanar, as evidenced by the dihedral angle of 7.51 (1)°. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form a double chain along the ab plane inter-co...

Let $R$ be a non-commutative ring with unity. The commuting graph of $R$ denoted by $Gamma(R)$, is a graph with vertex set $RZ(R)$ and two vertices $a$ and $b$ are adjacent iff $ab=ba$. In this paper, we consider the commuting graph of non-commutative rings of order pq and $p^2q$ with Z(R) = 0 and non-commutative rings with unity of order $p^3q$. It is proved that $C_R(a)$ is a commutative ring...

Group Rings Let G = g1, g2, . . . , gn be a finite group, and let k be a field. We define the group ring k[G] to be the set of sums of the form a1g1 + a2g2 + · · ·+ angn with each ai ∈ k and gi ∈ G. Addition is defined componentwise, i.e. (a1g1 + a2g2 + · · ·+ angn) + (b1g1 + b2g2 + · · ·+ bngn) = ((a1 + b1)g1 + (a2 + b2)g2 + · · ·+ (an + bn)gn). We define multiplication in the following way: (...

In this paper a particular case of z-ideals, called strongly z-ideal, is defined by introducing zero sets in pointfree topology. We study strongly z-ideals, their relation with z-ideals and the role of spatiality in this relation. For strongly z-ideals, we analyze prime ideals using the concept of zero sets. Moreover, it is proven that the intersection of all zero sets of a prime ideal of C(L),...

We study properties of the Drazin index of regular elements in a ring with a unity 1. We give expressions for generalized inverses of 1−ba in terms of generalized inverses of 1−ab. In our development we prove that the Drazin index of 1 − ba is equal to the Drazin index of 1 − ab. 2000 Mathematics subject classification. primary 15A09; secondary 16U99.

Atomic force microscope manipulations of single polysaccharide molecules have recently expanded conformational chemistry to include force-driven transitions between the chair and boat conformers of the pyranose ring structure. We now expand these observations to include chair inversion, a common phenomenon in the conformational chemistry of six-membered ring molecules. We demonstrate that by st...

Let $R$ be an associative ring with identity and $Z^*(R)$ be its set of non-zero zero divisors.  The zero-divisor graph of $R$, denoted by $Gamma(R)$, is the graph whose vertices are the non-zero  zero-divisors of  $R$, and two distinct vertices $r$ and $s$ are adjacent if and only if $rs=0$ or $sr=0$.  In this paper, we bring some results about undirected zero-divisor graph of a monoid ring o...

In this work, we introduce $H^*$-condition on the set of submodules of a module. Let $M$ be a module. We say $M$ satisfies $H^*$ provided that for every submodule $N$ of $M$, there is a direct summand$D$ of $M$ such that $(N+D)/N$ and $(N+D)/D$ are cosingular. We show that over a right perfect right $GV$-ring,a homomorphic image of a $H^*$ duo module satisfies $H^*$.

The ring-opening copolymerisation of a d -xylose 3,5-anyhydrosugar with isothiocyanates forms AB-type copolymers imidothiocarbonate linkages. Block copolymer synthesis, reaction kinetics, polymer degradation and metal absorption are explored.
