A universal BiCMOS low-voltage-swing transceiver (driverlreceiver) with low on-chip power consumption is reported. Operating at 3.3V, it can drivekeceive low-voltageswing signals with termination voltages ranging from SV down to 2V without using any external reference voltages.

Attributes of real-time intelligence in flexible radios are partially investigated in this article. Two design aspects of flexible transceivers are presented: the first explores concepts related to Dynamic Signal Design in an OFDMbased radio transceiver, and the second concerns blind recognition of different types of analog modulation waveforms.

Recently, cognitive radio (CR) technology is broadly applied even to sensor networks. Cognitive radio sensor networks (CRSNs) have been studied and, apparently, sensor nodes equipped with directional antennas achieve higher energy efficiency. This paper proposes a medium access control (MAC) protocol named directional CR-aware MAC (DC-MAC) for CRSNs. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this ...

Suppression of Multi-User Interference (MUI) and mitigation of timeand frequency-selective effects constitute major challenges in the design of third-generation wireless mobile systems. Relying on block spreading and judiciously chosen time-frequency guard intervals, we propose a multi-user transceiver that eliminates MUI deterministically and guarantees symbol detectability in the presence of ...

OQPSK modulation technique is used for designing Zigbee transceiver worldwide since several years of invention of ZigBee technology. It provides good battery life, better range and various other advantages for which Zigbee technology is known. But here we are discussing about the transceiver performance over the noisy channel. In noisy channel, we are proposing MSK based Zigbee technology and c...

Target Audience: RF Engineers, UHF Labs, Researchers interested in pTX, TOF and ASL Purpose The aim of this work was to develop a 7 Tesla Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) [1,2] transceiver coil array capable of being used as a stand-alone array [3,4] or in combination with an additional transceiver head array [5]. The transceiver design is potentially beneficial at 7T since it allows for Radio Freq...

When using electrical-balance duplexers (EBDs) to provide RF self-interference cancellation for in-band full-duplex, in-band distortion produced by nonlinear CMOS switches in the duplexer cause distortion that limits the headroom for additional self-interference cancellation in subsequent cancellation schemes in the transceiver. A prototype EBD is fabricated in 0.18μm SOI CMOS to investigate th...

Using an electro-absorption duplexer (EAD) we presented a transceiver (TRx) module for dual function of both electrical-to-optical (E/O) and optical-to-electrical (E/O) conversion at 60 GHz band. The EAD chip was fabricated by monolithically integrating both a waveguide photodiode (PD) and an electro-absorption modulator (EAM) in association with traveling wave electrodes. We also investigated ...

The traditional line-of-sight ultraviolet model cannot serve better for link performance study for the reason that the scattering characteristic is often ignored in the modelling process. Therefore, a line-of-sight ultraviolet bipyramid model in combination with transceiver full beam angles and geometrical relationship of the transceiver field of view intersection is established. The theoretica...

A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) consists of a group of mobile nodes and it enables communications between participating nodes without the burden of any base stations. To increase the capacity of wireless network, multiple transceivers can be used. Multiple transceivers increase the cost of the equipment. So generally for data transmissions, a single transceiver is used in each node. But single ...
