In this paper we introduce $(alpha,beta)-$linear connected spaces for nonzero cardinal numbers $alpha$ and $beta$. We show that $(alpha,beta)-$linear connectivity approach is a tool to classify the class of all linear connected spaces.

Spinocerebellar ataxia type 17 (SCA17) is a rare autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive cerebellar ataxia but also a broad spectrum of other neuropsychiatric signs. As anatomical and structural studies have shown severe cerebellar atrophy in SCA17 and a differentiation of the human cerebellum into an anterior sensorimotor and posterior cognitive/emotional par...

The second smallest eigenvalue of the Laplacian matrix, also known as the algebraic connectivity, plays a special role for the robustness of complex networks since it measures the extent to which it is difficult to cut the network into independent components. In this paper we study the behavior of the algebraic connectivity in a well-known complex network model, the Erdős-Rényi random graph. We...

Studies examining the neural correlates of face perception and recognition in humans have revealed multiple brain regions that appear to play a specialized role in face processing. These include an anterior portion of perirhinal cortex (PrC) that appears to be homologous to the face-selective 'anterior face patch' recently reported in non-human primates. Electrical stimulation studies in the ma...

Over 90 percent of patients with Parkinson's disease experience speech-motor impairment, namely, hypokinetic dysarthria characterized by reduced pitch and loudness. Resting-state functional connectivity analysis of blood oxygen level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging is a useful measure of intrinsic neural functioning. We utilized resting-state functional connectivity modeling to ...

Task-based connectivity studies facilitate the understanding of how the brain functions during cognition, which is commonly impaired in schizophrenia (SZ). Our aim was to investigate functional connectivity during a working memory task in SZ. We hypothesized that the task-negative (default mode) network and the cognitive control (frontoparietal) network would show dysconnectivity. Twenty-five S...

OBJECTIVE Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has been associated with a complex pattern of increases and decreases in resting-state functional connectivity. The developmental disconnection hypothesis of ASD poses that shorter connections become overly well established with development in this disorder, at the cost of long-range connections. Here, we investigated resting-state connectivity in relati...

BACKGROUND Brain frontostriatal circuits have been implicated in the pathophysiology of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, effects of methylphenidate on circuit-level functional connectivity are as yet unclear. The aim of the present study was to comprehensively investigate the functional connectivity of major striatal subregions in children with ADHD, including subanalys...

Sex, stimulus material and attention condition have previously been related to global advantage (faster responses to global targets than to local targets), as well as lateralization during global-local processing. It is presumed that the lateralization of brain functions is either related to the inhibitory influence of the dominant on the non-dominant hemisphere or reduced excitation between he...
