The structure-directing role of a variety noncovalent interactions in the solid state pyrazolyl-thiazole derivatives has been analyzed energetically using DFT calculations and by means Hirshfeld surface analysis.

In the present work, an in-depth, qualitative and quantitative description of non-covalent interactions in the hydrogen storage materials LiN(CH3)2BH3 and KN(CH3)2BH3 was performed by means of the charge and energy decomposition method (ETS-NOCV) as well as the Interacting Quantum Atoms (IQA) approach. It was determined that both crystals are stabilized by electrostatically dominated intraand i...

Strange baryons have long been known to exhibit a leading particle effect. A recent comparison of Ξ − production in π − , n, and Σ − interactions with nuclei show this effect clearly. These data are supplemented by earlier measurements of Ξ − and Ω production by a Ξ − beam. We calculate the Ξ − and Ω x F distributions and nuclear dependence in hA interactions using the intrinsic model.

Nonmesonic weak decays of the A = 4, and 5 hypernuclei are studied. The short range parts of the hyperon-nucleon weak interactions are described by the direct quark (DQ) weak transition potential, while the longer range interactions are given by the π and K meson exchange processes. Virtual Σ mixings of the coherent type are found to give significant effects on the decay rates of 4ΛHe. A large ...

Finite–size scaling properties and Casimir forces in an exactly solvable quantum statistical–mechanical model Abstract A d–dimensional finite quantum model system confined to a general hypercubical geometry with linear spatial size L and " temporal size " 1/T (T-temperature of the system) is considered in the spherical approximation under periodic boundary conditions. Because of its close relat...
