This paper describes packet header anomaly intrusion detection system modeling. The essence of the discussion in this paper is on applying knowledge discovery in database technique to produce expert production rules which is one of the main components of our model which we call as Protocol based Packet Header Anomaly Detector (PbPHAD) Intrusion Detection System. PbPHAD is designed to detect the...

This paper describes an experimental anomaly based Network Intrusion Detection System modelling which analyses the behaviour of packet header field values based on its layer 2, 3 and 4 protocol fields of The ISO OSI Seven Layer Model for Networking. Our model which we call as Protocol based Packet Header Anomaly Detection (PbPHAD) is designed to detect the anomalous behaviour of network traffic...

The Kondo insulator SmB6 has long been known to exhibit low-temperature transport anomalies whose origin is of great interest. Here we uniquely access the surface electronic structure of the anomalous transport regime by combining state-of-the-art laser and synchrotron-based angle-resolved photoemission techniques. We observe clear in-gap states (up to ~4 meV), whose temperature dependence is c...

We study the photoluminescence spectra of n-doped InP bulk wafers, both in the reflection and the transmission geometries relative to the excitation beam. From the observed spectra we estimate the spatial distribution of minority carriers allowing for the spectral filtering due to reabsorption of luminescence in the wafer. This distribution unambiguously demonstrates a non-exponential drop-off ...

In situ transport measurements on disordered polycrystalline Fe films reveal a logarithmic temperature dependence of the longitudinal Rxx and anomalous Hall Rxx resistances at low temperatures and a heretoforeunobserved scaling behavior in which the relative changes in Rxx and Rxy are found to be equal. Accordingly, the anomalous Hall conductivity is non-zero with a logarithmic temperature depe...

We present the results on the anomalous 2D transport behavior by employing Drude-Boltzmann transport theory and taking into account the realistic charge impurity scattering effects. Our results show quantitative agreement with the existing experimental data in several different systems and address the origin of the strong and non-monotonic temperature dependent resistivity.

We report a strong effect of interface-induced magnetization on the transport properties of magnetic tunnel junctions consisting of ferromagnetic manganite La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 and insulating cuprate PrBa2Cu3O7. Contrary to the typically observed steady increase of the tunnel magnetoresistance with decreasing temperature, this system exhibits a sudden anomalous decrease at low temperatures. Interesti...

We peruse various anomalous physical responses of the cubic (ferromagnetic SrRuO3 and paramagnetic CaRuO3) ruthenates, such as fractional power-law conductivity, anomalous Raman line shapes, and Hall currents. We show how these exciting power-law observations are naturally described within a new, local (orbital) non-Fermi-liquid state arising from strong, multiorbital Coulomb interactions. Intr...

The anomalous part of the NMR relaxation rate of copper nuclei in the normal state of copperoxide metals is calculated using the orbital magnetic parts of the fluctuations derived in a recent theory to explain the long wavelength transport anomalies. Oxygen and Yttrium reside on lattice sites at which the anomalous contribution is absent at all hole densities. The frequency, momentum dependence...
