cucumber mosaic virus (cmv) is one of widely-spread viruses of plants with the broadest host range encompassing over 1200 species. one major limiting factor for detection of the virus is unavailability of the virus-specific antibodies especially in developing countries. recombinant dna technology facilitates antibody preparation without requiring special equipment. in this study, coat protein (...

Abstract Many studies have confirmed that the human poliovirus receptor (PVR; CD155) is related to tumor cell migration, invasion, and thus progression. A PVR binds its ligand T Ig ITIM domain (TIGIT) inhibit function of NK cells, thereby allowing tumors evade immune surveillance. In this study, two IgG1 monoclonal antibodies, anti-CD155 anti-TIGIT, were expressed by mammalian transient transfe...

We purified and sequenced the heat-stable enterotoxin produced by Citrobacter freundii. The toxin was detected during purification by reaction with monoclonal antibody to Escherichia coli heat-stable enterotoxin. The C. freundii toxin amino acid sequence was identical to that of the 18-amino-acid heat-stable enterotoxin (STa) produced by toxigenic E. coli.

Rabbit antiserum was generated against the N-terminus of human GPR30 followed by peptide affinity purification. In this article, the methodology used and validation data are presented. The peptide affinity purified polyclonal antibody specifically detects human GPR30 in ELISA and on western blots of total protein prepared from human breast cancer cell lines.

Rabbit antibodies to streptococcal polysaccharide are described which show selectivity of expression of the allotypic specificities on both the heavy (H) and light (L) chains. One of these antibodies binds weakly to Sephadex. A purification method based on this binding has yielded antibody completely lacking any group a allotypic marker on its H chains.

there are various methods to diagnosis of hydatic cyst. serological methods based on tracing special antigens have high sensitivity, but the first need to design the kits based on serological methods is having enough amount of appropriate antibody against hydatic cyst antigens. hydatic cyst antigens and parasite protoscolexes prepared from sheep liver samples were injected to rabbits to obtain ...

Five lots of phase 1 Q fever antigen suitable for use as vaccine were prepared utilizing the Freon-brushite method of antigen purification. Antigen concentration levels were initially adjusted turbidimetrically and later confirmed by antibody response in guinea pigs. Data showed that all lots were essentially identical in purity and antigenicity.

Biologically sensitive field-effect transistors (BioFETs) are a promising technology for detecting pathogens, antigen-antibody complexes, and tumor markers. A BioFET is studied for a biotin-streptavidin complex. Biotin-streptavidin is used in detection and purification of various biomolecules. The link between the Angstrom scale of the chemical reaction and the micrometer scale of the field eff...

A tag comprising four to six histidines genetically fused to the protein of interest (His-tag) has been widely used to purify proteins by immobilized metal-ion affinity chromatography (IMAC). Here we report the utilization of the same tag twice in series, first for IMAC and subsequently for immunoaffinity purification. Both steps are based on completely different physical principles and can the...

Indirect evidence has implicated a role for central angiotensin II in blood pressure control. To answer directly the question of whether angiotensin II exists in the brain, independent of blood-borne angiotensin, and to quantify the amounts in different parts of the central nervous system, a sensitive radioimmunoassay was used to measure extracts of male adult rat brain hypothalamus and cortex ...
