Noncommutative geometric gauge theory is reconstructed based on the superconnection concept. The bosonic action of the Connes-Lott model including the symmetry breaking Higgs sector is obtained by using a new generalized derivative, which consists of the usual 1-form exterior derivative plus an extra element called the matrix derivative, for the curvatures. We first derive the matrix derivative...

Using the Euclidean distance statistical test of Benford’s law, we analyse COVID-19 weekly case counts by country. While 62% 100 countries and territories considered in present study conforms to law at a significant level α = 0.05 17% 0.01 ≤ < 0.05, remaining 21% shows deviation from it (p values smaller than 0.01). In particular, 5% ‘break’ with p value 0.001.

Spectral stability analysis for solitary waves is developed in the context of the Hamiltonian system of coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations. The linear eigenvalue problem for a non-self-adjoint operator is studied with two self-adjoint matrix Schrödinger operators. Sharp bounds on the number and type of unstable eigenvalues in the spectral problem are found from the inertia law for quadrati...
