Experiencing awe may make us believe we have more time (Rudd, Vohs, & Aaker, 2012). Awe can be evoked by encountering a vast experience (Keltner & Haidt, 2003), for example an endless ocean or large mountains (Klatzky, Thompson, Stefanucci, Gill, & McGee, 2017). Vast environments may lead to distortions in perceived time that are reported after awe experiences. Participants reproduced the perce...

In this paper, the concept of σ−connectivity in L−topological spaces is introduced. Some properties for σ−connectivity in L−topological spaces are characterized systematically. The famous K.Fan’s Theorem holds for σ−connectivity in L−topological spaces. Mathematics Subject Classification: 54A40

In this article I adopt the concept of ‘rhetorical spaces’ as a tool for exploring the creation of dialogues between stakeholders that can enhance realistic participation by communities. It is argued that evaluation research can be imbued with a ‘code of presentation’ that renders input from community participants to be unspoken, unheard or dismissed. Without an understanding and appreciation o...

The growing volume and complexity of the World Wide Web creates a need for new forms of interaction with information. Spatial metaphors have been in the focus of interface research for a number of years. Recently, a related concept called spatialization has emerged as one possible strategy for dealing with modern information glut. However, the term remains ill-defined. We present a definition o...

This paper relates the discussion of articulation work (and of disarticulation) to issues of the creation and control of collective communication spaces. Four different types of settings are examined occupationally segregated terrains, emergency situations, scarce-resource settings and performance-intensive settings. What is articulated in such settings is seen as dependin~l on the properties o...

This article gives an analysis of topological and homological properties for loop spaces of configuration spaces. The main topological results are given by certain choices of product decompositions of these spaces, as well as “twistings” between the factors. The main homological results are given in terms of extensions of the “infinitesimal braid relations” or “universal YangBaxter Lie relations”.
