The lower structure of a building construction consists foundation and layer soil to support the load upper construction. condition under is closely related behavior itself when it receives loads, for example failures that occur in sub-grade embankment foundation, namely too soft so carrying capacity withstand small, as result settlement occurs large. So must be strong, stable, safe, does not d...

Abstract This paper develops a theory of footing in Harmonic Serialism (HS; Prince & Smolensky 1993/2004; McCarthy 2000, 2016) where Con contains only directionally evaluated constraints (Eisner 2002; Lamont 2019, 2022 , b ). Directional harmonically order candidates by the location violations rather than total number violations. A central result adopting directional evaluation is that cons...

let $omega_x$ be a bounded, circular and strictly convex domain of a banach space $x$ and $mathcal{h}(omega_x)$ denote the space of all holomorphic functions defined on $omega_x$. the growth space $mathcal{a}^omega(omega_x)$ is the space of all $finmathcal{h}(omega_x)$ for which $$|f(x)|leqslant c omega(r_{omega_x}(x)),quad xin omega_x,$$ for some constant $c>0$, whenever $r_{omega_x}$ is the m...

This paper provides a regression model in which both covariates and responses are angular variables. The regression curve is expressed as a form of the Möbius circle transformation. The angular error is assumed to follow a wrapped Cauchy or, equivalently, circular Cauchy distribution. A bivariate circular distribution is proposed to model our circular regression. Some properties of the regressi...

Hebbian and competitive Hebbian algorithms are almost ubiquitous in modeling pattern formation in cortical development. We analyse in theoretical detail a particular model (adapted from Piepenbrock & Obermayer, 1999) for the development of Id stripe-like patterns, which places competitive and interactive cortical influences, and free and restricted initial arborisation onto a common footing.
