This paper addresses blind source separation in convolutive post nonlinear (CPNL) mixtures. In these mixtures, the sources are mixed convolutively, and then measured by nonlinear (e.g. saturated) sensors. The algorithm is based on minimizing the mutual information by using multivariate score functions.
This article provides an overview of the first stereo audio source separation evaluation campaign, organized by the authors. Fifteen underdetermined stereo source separation algorithms have been applied to various audio data, including instantaneous, convolutive and real mixtures of speech or music sources. The data and the algorithms are presented and the estimated source signals are compared ...
This paper deals with the blind source separation problem in convolutive mixtures when the sources are colored processes. In this case, classical methods first extract the innovation processes of the sources and then color them, which yields two successive filter approximations. On the contrary, we propose here a new concept allowing to directly extract estimates of the colored sources in one s...
This paper introduces a Blind MIMO Equalization algorithm for convolutive mixtures. A parametrization of the equalizer is proposed when observations are whitened. From theoretical results, a numerical algorithm is then derived. This algorithm is based on the solution of a polynomial system, which some values of output cumulant multicorrelations enter. Simulations and performances of the numeric...
We propose a two-step, audio feature-based musical genre classification methodology. First, we identify and separate the various musical instrument sources in the audio signal, using the convolutive sparse coding algorithm. Next, we extract classification features from the separated signals that correspond to distinct musical instrument sources. The methodology is evaluated and its performance ...
We report here on differential linear scan voltammetry, DLSV, that combines the working principles of linear scan voltammetry, LSV, and the numerous existing pulsed voltammetry techniques. DLSV preserves the information from continuous interrogation in voltage and high accuracy that LSV provides about electrochemical processes, and the much better sensitivity of differential pulsed techniques. ...
In this study, simple, fast and reliable cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), square wave voltammetry (SWV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods were developed and validated for determination of bosentan in pharmaceutical preparations. The proposed methods were based on electrochemical oxidation of bosentan at platinum electrode in acetonitrile solution containin...
