We propose general static block and block-cyclic heterogeneous decomposition of multidimensional data over processes of parallel program mapped onto multidimensional process grid. The decomposition is compared with decomposition of two-dimensional data over twodimensional process grid of Beaumont et al and with natural decomposition of three-dimensional data over three-dimensional process grid.

We present a new, biased Monte Carlo scheme for simulating complex, cyclic peptides. Backbone atoms are equilibrated with a biased rebridging scheme, and side-chain atoms are equilibrated with a look-ahead configurational bias Monte Carlo. Parallel tempering is shown to be an important ingredient in the construction of an efficient approach. Submitted to Molecular Physics.

A new algorithm for solving triangular linear equations is reported that is signiicantly faster than conventional methods on vector and parallel architectures for small bandwidths. In essence, it is a block version of the cyclic reduction algorithm used for tridiagonal systems of equations, and is applicable to general banded systems as well.

The requirements of purified rat Leydig cells for intra- and extra-cellular Ca2+ during steroidogenesis stimulated by LH (lutropin), cyclic AMP analogues and LHRH (luliberin) agonist were investigated.
