A bstract We initiate the study of a new class beyond Standard Model states that we call “Loryons.” They have defining characteristic being non-decoupling, in sense their physical mass is dominated by contribution from vacuum expectation value Higgs boson. The stakes are high: discovery Loryon would tell us electroweak symmetry must be non-linearly realized effective field theory Model. Loryons...
In this note we study the strong dynamic input-output decoupling problem for nonlinear systems. Using an algebraic theory for nonlinear control systems, we obtain for a dynamic input-output decouplable nonlinear system a compensator of minimal dimension that solves the decoupling problem. This paper deals with control of Timed Event Graphs (TEG). In a first part the disturbance decoupling problem for TEG is defined. In a second part we propose the synthesis of an optimal output feedback controller ensuring the disturbance decoupling and preserving the state of the system.
We compute some non–decoupling effects in the standard model, such as the ρ parameter, to all orders in the coupling constant expansion. We analyze their large order behavior and explicitly show how it is related to the non–perturbative cutoff dependence of these non–decoupling effects due to the triviality of the theory. 9/93 † email: [email protected]
The disturbance decoupling problem is studied for linear delay systems. The structural approach is used to design a decoupling precompensator. The realization of the given precompensator by static state feedback is studied. Using various structural and geometric tools, a detailed description of the feedback is given, in particular, derivative of the delayed disturbance can be needed in the real...
Using redundant sensors, the direct kinematics of general parallel manipulators is here d e coupled a n d r e-duced to an orientation problem only. The accuracy of the decoupling depends on the condition number of a decoupling matrix. The conditions under which this matrix is isotropic are derived and illustrated with a numerical example.
We study numerical methods for solving a non-stationary mixed Stokes-Darcy problem that models coupled fluid flow and porous media flow. A decoupling approach based on interface approximation via temporal extrapolation is proposed for devising decoupled marching algorithms for the mixed model. Error estimates are derived and numerical experiments are conducted to demonstrate the computational e...
Introduction Since the first phased array design, the overlap decoupling became the most often used decoupling technique. At a certain amount of overlap, the mutual inductance between adjacent array coil elements is forced to be zero. Therefore the interaction between neighbouring coil elements is eliminated [1]. The hole-slotted coil design has been shown to provide a deeper RF penetration int...
Mass Customization (MC) is not a mature business strategy and hence it is not clear that a single or small group of operational models are dominating. Companies tend to approach MC from either a mass production or a customization origin (Duray 2002) and this in itself gives reason to believe that several operational models will be observable. This paper reviews actual and theoretical fulfilment...
