in this paper, we apply the local fractional laplace transform method (or yang-laplace transform) on volterra integro-differential equations of the second kind within the local fractional integral operators to obtain the analytical approximate solutions. the iteration procedure is based on local fractional derivative operators. this approach provides us with a convenient way to find a solution ...

in this paper, an effective direct method to determine the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear fredholm and volterra integral and integro-differential equations is proposed. the method is based on expanding the required approximate solution as the elements of chebyshev cardinal functions. the operational matrices for the integration and product of the chebyshev cardinal functions are des...

We construct dual formulation of linearised gravity in first order tetrad formalism in arbitrary dimensions within the path integral framework following the standard duality algorithm making use of the global shift symmetry of the tetrad field. The dual partition function is in terms of the (mixed symmetric) tensor field Φ[ν1ν2···νd−3]ν in frame-like formulation. We obtain in d-dimensions the d...

this article proposes a direct method for solving three types of integral equations with time delay. by using operational matrix of integration, integral equations can be reduced to a linear lower triangular system which can be directly solved by forward substitution. numerical examples shows that the proposed scheme have a suitable degree of accuracy.

The optimization of trajectories and actuator torques for a dual arm manipulation system is considered. Given the starting and nal conngurations, we nd the trajectories that minimize (a) the integral of the norm of the vector of derivatives of the actuator forces; and (b) the integral of the norm of the actuator forces. In this way both kinematic and actuator redundancy are resolved. The optimi...

Some hydromechanical systems are investigated by applying the dual integral equation method. In developing this method we suggest from elementary appropriate solutions of Laplace’s equation, in the domain under consideration, the introduction of a potential function which provides useful combinations in cylindrical and spherical coordinates systems. Since the mixed boundary conditions and the f...

The scattering of SH-waves by a Griffith crack in an infinitely long elastic strip situated at an asymmetric position has been analyzed. Applying Fourier transform, the mixed boundary value problem has been reduced to the solution of dual integral equations which finally has been reduced to the solution of a Fredholm integral equation of second kind. The numerical values of stress intensity fac...

We consider a general class of problems of minimization of convex integral functionals subject to linear constraints. Using Fenchel duality, we prove the equality of the values of the minimization problem and its associated dual problem. This equality is a variational criterion for the existence of solution to a large class of inverse problems entering the class of generalized Fredholm integral...

This paper presents an efficient Euler method on Cartesian grids coupled with an integral Boundary-Layer method. The unsteady Euler equations are solved using cell-centered finite volume method by the implicit-explicit dual-time stepping scheme. The wall boundary conditions on the wing are implemented on the wing chord plane by first order approximation so that non-moving Cartesian grids can be...
