Fe(2+) cations in FeCl(2) or FeSO(4) were oxidized by graphene oxide, leading to an in situ deposition of Fe(3)O(4) nanoparticles onto the self-reduced graphene oxide (rGO) sheets. The resultant Fe(3)O(4)/rGO sheets were demonstrated to possess interesting magnetic and electrochemical properties attractive for a large variety of potential applications.

The transfer of chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown graphene is the prerequisite for many applications. Herein, we introduce a simple and eco-friendly electrochemical technique to transfer graphene using agarose gel as the solid electrolyte and a mechanical support layer for graphene sheets. This transfer technique will be a perfect candidate for the industrial applications of graphene.

In this communication, we develop a simple pathway to prepare SERS-active substrates with Au nanoparticles (NPs) by an electrochemical strategy of deposition-dissolution cycles (DDCs). The prepared SERS-active substrates demonstrate large Raman scattering enhancement for Rhodamine 6G (R6G) with a detection limit of 2 × 10(-12) M and an enhancement factor of 5.8 × 10(7).
