We report here the first complete genome of the Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) genotype III strain JEV/SW/IVRI/395A/2014, isolated from stillborn piglets in India. It shares 99% identity with strain JaOArS982 and a few other strains from Japan.

background: congenital toxoplasmosis is an important cause of spontaneous abortion worldwide. however, there is limited information on detection and genotypic characterization of t. gondii in women with recurrent spontaneous abortion (rsa). the aim of this study is molecular detection and genotypic characterization of t. gondii in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded fetoplacental tissues (ffpts) ...

Current Japanese encephalitis vaccines are derived from strains of genotype III, yet heterologous genotypes are emerging in endemic areas. Inactivated vaccines given to European travelers were found to elicit protective levels of neutralizing antibodies against heterologous strains of genotypes I-IV.

Travelers can introduce viruses from disease-endemic to non-disease-endemic areas. Serologic and virologic tests confirmed dengue virus infections in 3 travelers returning to Japan: 2 from Tanzania and 1 from Cote d'Ivoire. Phylogenetic analysis of the envelope gene showed that 2 genetically related virus isolates belonged to dengue virus type 3 genotype III.

Here we report the first full-length genome sequence of dengue virus serotype 3 (DENV-3) from a strain isolated from a patient in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2014. The genome consists of 10 635 bp and shows close similarity to circulating genotype III isolates from Singapore, suggesting possible importation, most probably during religious pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia.

Two cases of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever were reported in Spain during 2016. We obtained the virus from a patient sample and characterized its full genomic sequence. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that the virus corresponds to the African genotype III, which includes viruses previously found in West and South Africa.

Ralstonia solanacearum displays variability in its virulence to solanaceous crops. We report here the draft genome sequences of eight phylotype I strains and one phylotype III strain differing in virulence to the resistant eggplant genotype AG91-25. These data will allow the identification of virulence- and avirulence-related genes.

Flavescence dorée (FD) is a European quarantine disease of grapevine caused by FD phytoplasma (FDp) transmitted the leafhopper North American origin Scaphoideus titanus. The affects most important viticultural regions Europe and all wine-growing Serbia. Unlike insect vector, pathogen native to associated with several wild host plants among which alder trees as main source two out three map gene...

Seventy-four erythromycin-resistant group B Streptococcus isolates were analyzed regarding their phenotype-genotype and phenotype-serotype correlation. Four different phenotypes were assessed, one of them for the first time. ermB and ermTR were the most frequent genotypes (80%). The most prevalent serotype III showed great phenotypic variability while serotype V was strongly associated only wit...

In this report we describe the cultivation of two isolates of microsporidia, one from urine and the other from sputum samples from a Spanish AIDS patient. We identified them as Encephalitozoon cuniculi, type strain III (the dog genotype), based on ultrastructure, antigenic characteristics, PCR, and the sequence of the ribosomal DNA internal transcribed spacer region.
