The Hall resistance hysteresis loops in thin (d = 80 –280 nm) magnetically ordered permalloy films (Ni0.8 Fe0.2) were studied at room temperature different angles between the film plane and magnetic field direction (φ 0 –360°) (extraordinary ordinary effects), (θ – 90°) flowing current (planar effect φ 0°) a up to B 1.25 T. obtained on sitall dielectric substrate by ion beam sputtering. We examine the physical implications of viscous redundancy two-dimensional anisotropic fluids, where different components viscosity tensor lead to identical effects in bulk a system [Rao and Bradlyn, Phys. Rev. X $\textbf{10}$, 021005 (2020)]. first re-introduce redundancy, show how it reflects lack knowledge microscopic information system, give examples. Next, we that fluid flow systems with b...

Measurement techniques based upon the Hall effect are invaluable tools in condensed-matter physics. When an electric current flows perpendicular to a magnetic field, a Hall voltage develops in the direction transverse to both the current and the field. In semiconductors, this behavior is routinely used to measure the density and charge of the current carriers (electrons in conduction bands or h...

[1] The wake region of Titan is an important component of Titan’s interaction with its surrounding plasma and therefore a thorough understanding of its formation and structure is of primary interest. The Cassini spacecraft passed through the distant downstream region of Titan on 18:59:30 UT Dec. 26, 2005, which is referred to as the T9 flyby and provided a great opportunity to test our understa...

We study the coupled dynamics of spin and charge currents in a two-dimensional electron gas in the transport diffusive regime. For systems with inversion symmetry there are established relations between the spin Hall effect, the anomalous Hall effect and the inverse spin Hall effect. However, in two-dimensional electron gases of semiconductors like GaAs, inversion symmetry is broken so that the...

Meloidogyne chitwoodi populations from Tulelake, California; Ft. Hall, Idaho; Beryl, Utah; and Prosser, Washington, significantly (P < 0.05) reduced dry shoot weights of crested wheatgrass (Agropyron cristatum L., Gaertn. and A. desertorum, Fisch. ex Link, Schult.) cultivars Hycrest, Fairway, and Nordan in experiments conducted in a greenhouse and growth chamber. Context. The role of the Hall term in magnetic reconnection at line-tied planar magnetic X-points is explored. Aims. The goal is to determine the reconnection scaling laws and to investigate how the reconnection rate depends on the size of the system in Hall magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). Methods. The evolution of reconnective disturbances is determined numerically by solving the linearized compre...

We report on experimental observations that the two-fluid Hall dynamo plays an important role in plasma relaxation. Measurements of the Hall effect during relaxation are made in the plasma core and edge. The Hall dynamo is found to be small at the edge ( ! r /a " 0.85) but increases substantially towards the interior (r/a=0.82) as measured by probes. In the high-temperature plasma core (r/a=0.3...
