BACKGROUND To perform lamellar keratolimbal allograft transplantation in a one-step procedure with a single graft, we investigated the feasibility of harvesting eccentric lamellar keratolimbal grafts from conventionally processed corneoscleral buttons using a manually guided microkeratome in conjunction with an artificial anterior chamber system. METHODS We used the Moria LSK-One microkeratom...

We report a case of pharmacologic regression of Urrets-Zavalia syndrome, following deep lamellar keratoplasty for severe keratoconus. Sympatholytic and parasympathomimetic drops were administered and a progressive reduction of mydriasis and restoring of pupillary kinetics were observed. Four years after surgery, it was resulting in only slight residual anisocoria.

A 14-year-old boy affected by keratoconus underwent an anterior lamellar keratoplasty assisted by IntraLase femtosecond laser (Abbott Medical Optics, Abbott Park, IL). Results after 2 years of follow-up indicate the procedure may be safe and effective in pediatric patients.
