This paper proposes a design pattern language applicable to mobile mixed reality games. While on the one hand the language covers direct game mechanics and therefore game design considerations, it also aims to provide similar for other aspects of mobile mixed reality games, namely authoring, content creation, interfaces, orchestration as well as testing and logging. Eleven patterns based on the...

In this short paper I briefly discuss 3D war Game based on artificial intelligence concepts called AI WAR. Going in to the details, I present the importance of CAICL language and how this language is used in AI WAR. Moreover I also present a designed and implemented 3D War Cybug for AI WAR using CAICL and discus the implemented strategy to defeat its enemies during the game life.

Rich and multifaceted domain specific specification languages like the Autonomic System Specification Language (ASSL) help to design reliable systems with self-healing capabilities. The GEAR game-based Model Checker has been used successfully to investigate properties of the ESA ExoMars Rover in depth. We show here how to enable GEAR’s game-based verification techniques for ASSL via systematic ...

We propose the problem of tutorial generation for games, i.e. to generate tutorials which can teach players to play games, as an AI problem. This problem can be approached in several ways, including generating natural language descriptions of game rules, generating instructive game levels, and generating demonstrations of how to play a game using agents that play in a human-like manner. We furt...

This paper summarizes online game flow attributes by observing a great number of game data packets and computes their flow feature using Python programming language. Furthermore, we investigate several machine learning algorithms to classify five different online games automatically and correctly, that provide the average accuracy is over 80%. The test results show that machine learning has the...

In this paper we show the Casanova language (and its accompanying design pattern, Rule-Script-Draw) in action by building a series of games with it. In particular we discuss how Casanova is suitable for making games regardless of their genre: the Game of Life, a shooter game, an adventure game and a strategy game. We also discuss the difference between Casanova and existing frameworks.

The Game Ontology Project (GOP) is creating a framework for describing, analyzing and studying games, by defining a hierarchy of concepts abstracted from an analysis of many specific games. GOP borrows concepts and methods from prototype theory as well as grounded theory to achieve a framework that is always growing and changing as new games are analyzed or particular research questions are exp...

Evolutionary game dynamics have been proposed as a mathematical framework for the cultural evolution of language and more specifically the evolution of vocabulary. This article discusses a model that is mutually exclusive in its underlying principals with some previously suggested models. The model describes how individuals in a population culturally acquire a vocabulary by actively participati...

This chapter describes key aspects of a visual perception system as a key component for language game experiments on physical robots. The vision system is responsible for segmenting the continuous flow of incoming visual stimuli into segments and computing a variety of features for each segment. This happens by a combination of bottom-up way processing that work on the incoming signal and top-d...
