Simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of Mn, Zn and Co was studied by two methods, classical partial least-squares (PLS) and kernel partial least-squares (KPLS), with 2-(5-bromo-2- pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminephenol (5-Br-PADAP) and cetyl pyridinium bromide (CPB). Two programs, SPGRPLS and SPGRKPLS, were designed to perform the calculations. Eight error functions were calculated for deduc...
This study explores the role of government in fostering construction firms move from initial adoption to institutionalization of e-procurement in developing countries’ context. It proposes the research model that consists of five external environmental constructs that are considered as factors influencing the different levels of e-procurement adoption. It uses PLS-SEM to analyze the data collec...
Papillon- Lefèvre syndrome (PLS) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder of keratinization characterized by palmoplantar hyperkeratosis, periodontopathy and precocious loss of dentition. The exact pathomechanism of these clinical events mainly remains speculative. This paper describes two cases of PLS with classic clinical features and briefly review the relevant literature.
This study aims to extend a model of technology acceptance to suit in developing country’s context. The model attempts to identify relationship between social and institutional factors over behavioural intention and usage. Recently, ‘acceptance and adoption of information technology (IT) in multicultural setting’ is becoming topic of interest for IS researchers. In this line, numerous theories ...
INTRODUCTION Literature regarding oral conditions in patients with Papillon-Lefèvre syndrome (PLS) often covers the periodontal aspects, but no literature was found describing specific craniofacial findings in this group. The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate the cephalometric findings of patients with PLS. METHODS Lateral cephalograms of 8 patients with PLS were traced, and ...
The syndrome of progressive, ascending or descending hemiplegia, with no significant sensory impairment was first describes by Mills in 1900, which several cases were reported later. However, after diagnostic tests and image improvements, the number of reports has shortened. A possible explanation for this shortage is the identification of other diseases that could mimic the clinical picture. C...
PURPOSE To investigate the intersession test-retest variability (TRV) of topography- and threshold-based parameters derived from the Nidek MP-1. DESIGN Prospective observational study. METHODS Sixteen participants with and without central scotoma underwent microperimetry in one eye over three sessions at 1-month intervals in a single institution. We calculated 95% coefficient of repeatabili...
The widespread diffusion of smartphones and their growing importance for private and business use have created new challenges for IS research. This study explores the potential negative effects of smartphone addiction on beliefs and implications for technology use. Using a quantitative survey linking smartphone addiction with technology acceptance, we investigate whether beliefs distorted by ad...
Estimating PMI is of great importance in forensic investigations. Although many methods are used to estimate the PMI, a few investigations focus on the postmortem redistribution. In this study, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) measurement combined with visual inspection indicated a regular diffusion of hemoglobin into plasma after death showing the redistribution of postmortem components in blood. ...
Tumor motion induced by respiration presents a challenge to the reliable delivery of conformal radiation treatments. Real-time motion compensation represents the technologically most challenging clinical solution but has the potential to overcome the limitations of existing methods. The performance of a real-time couch-based motion compensation system is mainly dependent on two aspects: the abi...
